  • ChristinaChristina July 2010

@yuki wait like candy beads and glowsticks are really not allowed?? cray cray but not a problem, not complaining. do you know if there is a full list of everything not allowed?

  • YukiYuki July 2010

Hey @Christina, the full list is as follows:

SECURITY: Please leave these items at home: backpacks, oversized purses, dolls, toys, plush items, glow sticks, candy, blankets, professional cameras, video cameras, weapons, glass, bottles, food, beverages, and open cigarette packs. Listed items will not be permitted. We reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone.

This information is also available on the website: http://www.hardfest.com/mia-la.php

  • YukiYuki July 2010

Also @Christina, thanks for being cool ;)

  • ZameerZameer July 2010

do they not allow light show gloves too?

  • YukiYuki July 2010

@Zameer At this time, no. Light show gloves would fall under "toys".
We are cooperating with all authorities' requests for a safe secure event.

  • onesixloveonesixlove July 2010

light shows arent harmful.. neither are gloves..

  • YukiYuki July 2010

We hope you understand it is in the best interest of every fan of HARD Events that we comply with all requests by the city to eliminate opportunities for smuggling contraband in unnecessary items.

  • ZameerZameer July 2010

oh wtffff!!!!!! no! nein nein nein nein!

    ahhhhhhahahahhhh!!!!1

    is this for real?

    ....

    blargh, fml. just bought gloves!

okay...i think i got that out of my system. sorry.

why do you say we? do you work with hard?

  • ChristinaChristina July 2010

@zameer getting a lightshow is a very obvious indication that someone's rolling, i mean not that many sober people are going around asking for lightshows. i totally get that all those items are banned to make HARD different from the rest. HARD is proving that their events are very much about the music, that this event is not just another "rave"

  • like.
    you can't have kandi bracelets?
not even a few of 'em?

i just made a new cuff today...

  • whatttt!!! no gloves?? that ridiculous

  • gary richards said candy will be allowed so dont trip
if anyone wants to disagree ill post the screenshot of him saying so on faceboook
    ima make a HARDfest cufff

  • JoshJosh July 2010

well, be yourself kid. Don't be like the rest, don't follow the crowd... just be yourself. Enjoy yourself and don't care about what any one else is wearing.

  • I'll admit that the vast majority of people who are interested in lightshows are on something, but you can definitely enjoy playing with lights sober (or under the influence of alcohol, which is being sold at the event). I see HARD prohibiting light toys more as an attempt to deter attention from an undesirable subculture, but that's just my two cents. Their event, their rules, but I don't have to like it. :|

Great lineup, though. :) I'm excited.
