Beats Executives Headphones Review: For the Jet-setting Traveler
  • marey1marey1 December 2012

Beats Executive headphones brings the slick Beats by Dre Black Friday brand to business professionals everywhere. It seems that being the leading headphone amongst the 18 to 24 demographic wasn’t enough for the brand. Now they have set their sights on the jet-setting business traveler who may not want to wear such bold headphones like the Beats Studio, but rather something more refined yet still impressive enough to sit in business class.
With a sleek aluminum body, supple leather ear cups, and pure active noise cancellation, the Executives offer many firsts from Beats by Dre Black Friday 2012. The Beats Studio’s have been offering active noise cancellation for years, but on the Executives, it takes it to an entirely new level of being one with the music.

    In the Box:

    Beats Executive
    Hard Shell carrying case
    2 AAA Batteries
    3.5 MM Audio Cable
Audio cable with mic and Apple Remote
    1/4″ Adapter
    Cleaning cloth
While personally I haven’t been a fan of active noise canceling Beats by Dre Black Friday Deals headphones in the past, the Executives have certainly made me rethink that stance. Traditionally, I have found the active noise canceling feature in top tier headphones from Bose and Sennheiser cause such pressure in my ears that it is too painful for me to wear them for longer than 5 minutes. While I can still feel that pressure with the Executives, it is much more subdued, and it doesn’t degrade the quality of the active noise canceling feature.

Sound quality is top notch with crystal clear highs (sometimes the highs were a bit too high and stung my ears) and solid mids. Bass is certainly weaker when compared to the other headphones in the Beats by Dre Cyber Monday line-up.
