You could also rent a house for the weekend near the beach or a suite man. One thing is for sure, if distance is your thing, try downtown. Not saying it will save you time because it gets really crowded during the weekend. I've stayed at the Westin Bonaventure, it's not worth it man. It took 1 hour and 20 minutes for the valete people to bring me my vehicle... plus the rooms weren' t that nice. The views were amazing and the hotel itself is amazing but not worth paying 200-300 bucks per night for a room. Just hit me up man, I can help ya out with this.

Yep, the LAX has amazing hotels some are even 3-4 stars for like 80 bucks or less. No problem with the planes flying. But like i said it all depends on what you want. Do you want to save money or do you want to save money and stay at a decent hotel or even very nice hotel for like 70-100 bucks?
@Christina
Hey, you're going to Lovevolution too, did you hear about them canceling the official afterparty? I'm pretty bummed, but I think I'm still gonna go for the parade.
I live in Downtown LA and i know a few places. The Standard in Downtown is a really cool place and they have great pool parties.

If you have the money stay at the new JW Mariott next to La Live... its SUEPR nice!!!
If you are working on a budget there are plenty of hotels around... try using google or yelp.
PS
If anyone wants to meet up let me know. I am down to show you around the city and take you to a few places Roscoes Chicken & Waffles :D
I've been booking hotels for a while now. I want to share some useful information to you guys.
The best website for reviews and to compare prices between companies like; Expedia, Hotels, Orbit, Priceline and ect... is
http://www.tripadvisor.com/
READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE YOU BOOK.
I would also want to let you guys know some Hotels have self or valet parking but charge a fee, I recommend self parking, it's cheaper. Plus if the valet crashes your vehicle they are only liable for a portion of the damages done, not worth it.
If you want to cheap hotels, try to stay out of Hollywood or Downtown. I've found great hotels at the LAX and it's only a few mins away from the Shrine. If money is not the issue and want to save time then Hollywood and Downtown is your place.
I also want to let you know to look into the hotel's website not only the expedia or priceline websites. Sometimes these hotels have special promotions going on and you can book a 300 - 400 dollar per night room for only 100-150 bucks per night and if you're lucky you might even get free valet or self parking included. (Save yourself $14-24 dollars)
Just snoop around before you book, you never know the other hotel might have a better deal than the one you're about to book.
Hope this helps.
@Will
He might be able to help you guys out more than I. I'm not a California resident, I just travel to California a lot.
@Josh
I dont know everything but i know a few good spots. I used to live in an old PBR brewery and i have friends that still live there. There is a bar there and one of the guys is in that band Eastern Conference Champions.. They had a track in that new Twilight movie.
Its a pretty cool place to check out if you have never been there before and its close to the venue.
Also i highly recommend this to everyone.

That place is one of my top 5. It can be expensive but totally worth it especially if you like good beer.
I am down for a little meet up. If you really wanted we could do a different thing each day you are out here. We can take you to China town in downtown LA and grab some cheap chinese food...
Head over to Olvera street (http://www.olvera-street.com/index.html) for some bomb Mexican food... Its a very cool thing to check out if you have never been. Very cultural and fun and you might find something you want at the market (like a bloody beatroots mask, they have them)

Its pretty much an x rated sushi/japanese place. Dont listen to the bad reviews its a great place... you just have to know what its about before going. they can be really dirty but its a pretty fun experience.
